How Majorelle Garden Tickets Work
Online only and for a set time: what each ticket covers, the garden's own prices, what a resold ticket changes, and how to time the garden and the two museums.
A Majorelle Garden ticket is a timed entry to the Jardin Majorelle in Marrakech, the walled garden of cactus beds, pools and blue walls that the painter Jacques Majorelle created from 1922 and Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Berge bought in 1980. Tickets are sold online only, for one date and one entry time: 170 DH for the garden and 330 DH with the Berber museum inside it and the Musee Yves Saint Laurent next door, at the garden’s own ticket office in November 2026. The ticket this page follows is Global Tours And Tickets’ Marrakech: Majorelle Garden, YSL, and Berber Museum Entry, about two hours on your own, with 8,974 reviews. It was per person from $43 in current promotion (usually $59), checked November 2026, with free cancellation up to 5 days before.
Before you book: November 2026
There is no ticket window at the gate. The garden stopped selling tickets on site on 30 January 2023, and every ticket since then has been bought online for a set time. The Jardin Majorelle opens every day from 8:00 to 17:30, last entry 17:00. The Pierre Berge Museum of Berber Arts, inside the garden, opens 8:30 to 17:00, last entry 16:30. The Musee Yves Saint Laurent Marrakech opens 10:00 to 18:00, last entry 17:30, and closes every Wednesday, so a combined ticket is for any other day. Each of these was read on the garden’s and the museum’s own sites on 3 November 2026.
The short answer
Book the garden and both museums together unless you have only an hour. The Berber museum is a few steps inside the garden and the YSL museum is 194 m along the same street, so the combined visit adds a second hour, not a second trip. Book a few days ahead for the date you want, since each entry time holds a set number of visitors. If your plans may change, buy from a listing with free cancellation: tickets bought from the garden itself cannot be refunded or exchanged.

From the price panel of tickets.jardinmajorelle.com, the garden’s ticket office, read 3 November 2026. Children under 10 go in free with an adult, and so do visitors with a disability card; the price list gives the student rates for children from 10 as well.
The Berber museum is not sold on its own: it comes with the garden, for 60 DH more. The YSL museum is the only part you can visit without the garden. Majorelle Garden ticket prices goes through every ticket and who qualifies for the reduced rates.
What a resold ticket changes
The listings on this site are sold by ticket agents, not by the garden. They cost more than the garden’s own price, and they change three things. The first is the refund: the garden’s ticket terms make every order firm and final, with no exchange or refund, while Global Tours And Tickets’ listings allow free cancellation up to 5 days before. The second is timing: the agent books the slot, and the entrance time may move up to 30 minutes earlier or later than the one you asked for. The third is delivery: the booking voucher is not the ticket, and the tickets come by email the day before your visit.
What they do not change is the garden itself. You enter by the same gate at the time on the ticket and walk it on your own; there is no guide and no separate entrance in any of these listings. If you are sure of your date and happy to pay in dirhams by card, the garden’s own site is the cheaper way in. If you want to keep the date open, or to book the garden with a car from your riad, a resold ticket is the one that allows it.
Where everything is

The garden is outside the old walls, north-west of the medina, on the edge of the new town. Its entrance is on Rue Yves Saint Laurent, and the YSL museum is on the same street, 194 m on foot from the garden gate. From Jemaa el-Fna, the main square of the medina, it is 2.8 km on foot to the garden entrance, and 2.5 km from Marrakech railway station. How to get to the Majorelle Garden has the walking routes and the alternatives.
What you see inside
The garden covers 9,000 square metres, laid out over forty years as a maze of paths, pools and planted beds from distant countries, around Moorish and Art Deco buildings in strong colours. Saint Laurent and Berge bought it in 1980 to save it from a hotel project and moved into Majorelle’s villa, which they renamed Villa Oasis; its private garden is separate from the public garden. Majorelle’s former painting studio, at the heart of the garden, has held the Pierre Berge Museum of Berber Arts since 2011: more than 600 objects, from the Rif to the Sahara, collected by Berge and Saint Laurent.

The YSL museum is a separate modern building down the street: the designer’s work and its link with Marrakech, with a bookshop and a cafe. The YSL museum and the Berber museum each have their own page.
Timing the visit
A combined ticket must start at the garden, and the time on it is the time to reach the garden gate; the garden’s terms allow you to arrive up to 29 minutes after it. The YSL museum does not open until 10:00, so an early garden slot works well: the garden at 8:00 or 9:00, the Berber museum from 8:30, and the YSL museum when it opens. In the afternoon, mind the last entries: 16:30 at the Berber museum, 17:00 at the garden and 17:30 at the YSL museum. Opening hours has the times and the closed days.
The garden asks visitors not to touch the plants or the lanterns, to stay on the paths, not to feed the fish, and to bring no food or animals; large bags go to the luggage storage. The garden and the museums are accessible to people with reduced mobility.
The rest of the day
The garden and the museums take a morning, and the medina is close enough for the afternoon. The tour by Moments in Morocco - Travel Agency, a guided walk of the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs and the souks, starts on Jemaa el-Fna; its monument tickets are extra. If you are heading out to the desert afterwards, marrakech-sahara-desert-tour.com covers the three-day trips from Marrakech to the Merzouga dunes.
